ok i was in ifle and i was deleting intelliborn stuff then next thing u know ifile crashed, then i tried to open cydia and it crashed as well. I rebooted my device and unfortunately it got stuck in a bootloop n had no choice but to restore.

Im thinking about going to the apple store to get a replacement. Im going to tell them that my battery life is horrible or something like that lol do you all think the devices will be on ios 7.1?

Uhm…you didn't try Safe Mode?

Safe Mode is entered by pressing and holding down the volume up button during boot. It allows you to use Cydia to uninstall tweaks you have an issue with. At the very least you would be able to troubleshoot your problem while still keeping your jailbreak.

But you've already done the restore right?

iOS 7.1 is only a few days old so the likelihood that you'd get 7.0.6 or less is pretty good right now. Although if your phone is otherwise functional I doubt you'll get a replacement. Apple will check and you'll probably also be told to update.

yea i tried safe mode and cydia still wouldnt open so i had no choice. My phone just finished restoring to 7.1.

Couldn't i tell apple that im on a time schedule and that i will update it later? Thats assuming ill get a replacement.

If your phone is in 100% working order, I doubt apple will give you a new one...

Don't you think it's dishonest to lie and say your phone is defective to get a new one purely for a lower operating system?

Yeah its dishonest.

One question though is it normal for phones to overheat? mine has been doing it alot as of late if i been using it for like 10 minutes or so.

If not, your phone is not overheating. It may get hot. Mine gets hot when location services is used a lot. But it's not overheating if you don't see this screen.

Just tell them wi-fi is really slow and keeps dropping out. They might check it out and send you packing and to restore and monitor. Just book another appointment a few days later and tell it's no different. They will swap it.

It's not honest but it will work.
