Half life 2 achievements

Ive played through much of the game and only have one achievement in half life 2 from steam for mac. I remember doing some of the things i have to do to receive the achievements only I haven't. Am i playing on a special mode like commentary mode in portal

i've been able to receive my achievements without a problem. mind, that you have to play through it again to unlock the achievements too, previous play-throughs don't count for whatever reason. and to be sure check your profile online to see if they're unlocked or not, the steam client itself can still be pretty buggy.

Exact same problem... Plus saving is acting up.

I'm having that same problem. None of my achievements past Malcontent are being recognized. Neither is my playing time. But even worse, It's not saving properly. I've had to redo the boat level 3 times, and it's kind of a crap shoot whether it will save whenever I play. It's the worst. Kind of makes me not want to play... kind of.

I cant seem to find any other instances of this online, or on any of the support forums.
