I have been out of the technology loop for a little bit...

I'm running on a slightly older MacBook- 2Ghz Core 2 Duo/1GB RAM/Intel GMA950 graphics. I realize there's now a Mac OSX version of Half-Life 2 on Steam, and of course there's the Windows version that could be run under bootcamp. I have been searching the forums and most of the posts on the matter seem to be a few years old, so I'm basically wondering if anything has changed on this topic, and if anyone is currently running Half-Life 2 on their GMA950 MacBook, and if so, how is the performance?

Thanks

If memory serves me right, the GMA950 is unsupported for Valve games on Mac, so the game won't even boot up.

My friend and I installed Left 4 Dead 2(Which is built on an upgraded source engine) on a Core 2 Sony vaio with an integrated GMA950 and it ran at an expectable framerate at 640x480 with all settings on low. Looked pixelated, but still was playable.

If anything, download the Half Life 2: Lost Coast demo -- given Steam hasn't done so for you -- and give it a try.
