Halo Mac Demo Hosting Servers Problem!

Okay, well i found halo a while ago and its a great game, however, when i try to host a server, no one can join. When my friends try and join they just get the message "Negotiating connection to server" and it never connects. I'm not that great with tech stuff but i recently tried using the application "Lighthouse" to open the necessary halo ports: 80, 2302, and 2303. It seemed to open the ports but everyone still got the same "Negotiating connection to server" when they tried to join my server. My friends have also tried making servers but the exact same thing happens. Hope you guys can help...

can someone help? Host Halo Demo

I can't host Halo Demo either. It shows up on the list but no one can join.
