Out of curiosity, how well is Halo running on the new MBPs with the 8600m chipset? I'll be getting a Mac soon after new models are announced, and they'll hopefully have something similar.

I have the 2.2 ghz model and it runs on all maxed settings very well (60-70 fps). I never played halo when it came out but jumped on the bandwagon when halo 2 came out (countless hours of my life gone) so im alittle disappointed how graphicaly lacking it is even on max settings but i know its an old game
If playability is all you're concerned about, be at ease. I played Halo regularly on my old 1 Ghz eMac. That, however, was with nearly minimum graphics.
