hey every1 i seriously need some mac help. i've always been a windows person, but as of a couple years ago i switched to mac. i have no knowledge of video cards, so heres the question: will halo pc run on a 1.8ghz macbook?

There are no 1.8 GHz MacBooks, so no. ;)

However, with the MacBooks that *do* exist, it will run, but you'll have to sacrifice a lot of detailing to get smooth performance. The MB is not a gaming machine.

Um Actually...

there is a 1.83ghz macbook, and how do i change the detail? Also do i need the universal binaries since it is intel based?

I'm quite aware of the 1.83 GHz model, I was just being nitpicky. ;)

If you're playing Halo PC you don't need the UB, because you can't run that under Mac OS X anyways. Now, if you want to run the Mac edition of Halo, you don't need it either if you don't mind sacrificing even more performance. But for optimum play yes, you do need it.

You change the details by going to preferences – it's very simple.
