online, for the past couple days, there have only been about 6 games running, and i can barely join any of them, unless I am lucky. any one else have the same prob?

same problem

have the same problem.
100-250 servers but just 10-50 players (norm. 400-2000).
is there an update published?
can not find information about that...
neither on the windows version nor an mac

I heard from another person online on halo...this is what i found out.
Halo for PC has been updated, and thats why we can no longer interact with their servers...lame.
So mac users are the only ones that can play on line with eachother, no cross platform..until we get an update.
F@#$, it seems like mac gamers get screwed left right and center

Bungie and Microsoft updated Halo PC to 1.08 a few days ago, and as a result, Mac gamers can't play with PC Gamers.

MacSoft was notified of this, and on their site under 'Support' for Halo: Combat Evolved, they post their working on an update, but don't specify when it will be released.

Kind of annoying, really.

Important note regarding latest PC update

The latest 1.0.8 PC Halo update broke cross-platform networking. We are aware of this issue and are actively working on an update. This update will be released Tuesday, August 12th around noon.

Should be out in the next hour!!!

I checked online, and they say they ran into a problem, but are still hoping it will be out today :S

Yep, new patch is out. Terrific. The only problem is it wants me to reenter my halo sn, and I, like about 75% of halo users, cant find it. Any suggestions?

hey there is a new update 2.0.2 ... i had the same problem like u all but when i updated to the 2.0.2 version i can play with hundreds now. google halo new version 2 update for mac, and you can do it in less than 5 minutes and start playing.. my only problem is that the new version has poor graphics on my computer because my graphics card is too basic for the new version, i've been trying to ask someone wat graphics card do i need to update to and im getting nothing so far

Call me a noob, but...

I'm on a PowerBook G4 running OS 10.4.11, and the installer asks me to find the "original Halo Universal application". I can't select Halo in my applications, it's faded.

What am I not getting?

thats a nice computer you got, but yes, ok you see i have to tell you the whole story.. here it goes

i bouhgt halo online, it cost me 120 us dollars, it was halo combat evolved universal, i can play it but my graphics card was to basic for it so i emailed the company and they sent me halo combat evolved not universal i started playing the normal combat evolved, but i got sick of it and its very little amount of peple playing it, so i updated the other day to 2.0.2 which is universal, lucky me i still have the universal files on my computer so i played straight away the new version ... so i guess you have to have the universal cd so you can update to 2.0.2, email the company they help a lot they might send you the universal version like they did to me. the only problem im still having poor graphics i need to update my graphics card i guess but im not sure which one i should update it to, i think your computer wont have any graphics problems when you start playing 2.0.2 version because your mac is 10.4.11 and mine is 10.3.9 i hope that helped you a bit.
