Ok, so i had Halo 1 for a long time, even modded it on my PC, but i changed to a Mac and i want to know is it is possible to mod it and if so where du i get the tools.
P.S.: i know that there is no custom edition 4 the mac, I'm just looking 4 simple weapon mods and stuff like that.

there is a CE for the mac you just gotta know where to look :D

LOOK young sky walker hehehee

I already looked and all the forums say that there is no Custom Edition, but i know that simple mods are possible, Obi-Wan :p

When he says Halo CE, he means Halo Combat Evolved, not Custom Edition, as there is no Custom Edition for mac (as you found out). You can still play people's mods tho, but I don't think there are editing tools for maps on a mac. If you find some tho, let me know :p

First you can use some of the PC modded maps in your Mac version of Halo. Not all will work. Bloodgulch mods always crashed halo for me, but I had no problem with dangercanyon mods.

Second a long time ago you could find several modded maps and converted maps at the HaloDev site:

http://forums.halodev.org/index.php?showforum=16

I don't know if any of the links to maps in the forums still work, but you could give it a try. Its been years since I've been there. Definitely try Google. Macologist used to have some stuff, but their downloads page has been down for a while. Maybe somebody in their forums could direct you to what you need. HaloMods.com also used to have stuff and tutorials, I don't know if the still do. i haven't played Halo in a looong time.

There were some converted maps from HaloCE (that's custom edition not combat evolved) for the Mac. Like New Mombassa Classic, Desolate, Paranoid, etc. You had to switch them out with regular halo maps and rename them to the ones you switched out. I think that New Mombassa took the place of Longest and Paranoid took the place of Derelict. I also believe there were two versions of the HaloCE maps one for PowerPC and one for Intel. There may be some still floating around on the net, if you DL make sure its the right type for your machine.

People talked about a SparkEdit tool version for the Mac for a long time, but I don't know if it ever happened.

Again Google is probably your best bet for hunting the tools or modded maps down.

Good luck. ;)
