This must be new. Now you can't delete or rename native apps as well as System files, nor can you create folders inside the System folder.

I understand security and all, but that's just drastic and absurd.

Leave our Macs alone! :mad:

Please tell me I'm wrong and just don't know how to rename/delete stuff. :eek:

WHY would you want to mess with the System folder for one? You run the potential of bricking the OS.

You are not wrong. El Capitan system integrity protection (SIP) protects many of the default apps and system folders so you don't break things. You can disable SIP if you like.
