Hey guys, I've recently fond the wonder of handbrake, and I've done it with my 10 or so DVDs, and I want to get this new DVD I bought, Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story, on my iBook. My issue is that when you see the title menu (from a normal DVD Player), if you want to heard them curse (i do), you need to go to the langauge menu from the title menu, and choose uncencored. My question is can any of you tell me have to rip the uncencored version instead of the cencored version? Default is cencored, so that's what it rips. How do i get around that?

I haven't actually tried it, but it MAY not be possible without a lot of work... the problem is that if the DVD uses seamless branching, the DVD will jump from one title/chapter to another title/chapter and back again to achieve the desired playback. For example, the DVD might play Chapter 10 (normal), then jump to Chapter 11A (censored) or Chapter 11B (uncensored, stored in a different title on the DVD), then proceed to Chapter 12 (normal).

In order to achieve this effect in an MP4 file, you'll need to know what titles and chapters (titles contain one or more chapters) are played during an "uncensored" playback, and then somehow stitch those together.

I've avoided ripping Alien or Aliens so far for this exact reason...

Within the main config page for handbrake there is an option to choose your audio track and video track---experiment with these until you find the right one.:)
