handbrake keeps stalling

trying to convert T2 and it keeps freezing with 1 hour and 39 minutes to go in the process. I used Mac the Ripper and that worked just fine, now having issues with the handbrake process. Any suggestions?

Are you saving the mp4 file to an external drive? Are you ripping direct form the disc or from the MTR ripped file? If from the ripped files, are the source and destination files going to the same drive?

no, the source is my drobo, the destination is my desktop. I then use MetaX to get it into iTunes, and therefore back on my drobo. It has been working on other movies, with this one, I have the ultimate DVD and I think it is having issues with three versions of the movie being on one disc. I am now trying the theatrical release instead of the extended.

try ripping it to your internal hd and saving the resulting file to the same drive.

I got it to work, from using the first file as the handbrake one. Instead of the addl features ones. Just took me all day with three runs!
