I'm backing up my DVD's to sync them with Apple TV, and I noticed that on some of the Transformers DVDs (yes, I'm an 80's childhood geek), handbrake seems to want to rip the episodes at slightly askew aspect ratios. 638x480, 634x480, etc.

I noticed that these videos don't seem to be wanting to sync with the Apple TV. It says that they're in the wrong format. Coudl the aspect ratio difference be to blame here?

I did tag all the shows with MetaX, but that didn't change the original aspect ratio.

Try resetting the Apple TV (unplugging the power chord). Also, restart iTunes. If this doesn't fix it then it is something else. Many shows are not exactly 640x480 because of cropping.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try rebooting it and shutting down itunes this afternoon when I get off of work. I did drop in all 98 episodes at once, and it seems to be the last 20 or so that aren't syncing. It just happens to be at that point that the episodes seem to have started varying from 640x480 to the other resoulutions.
