iPod Handbrake problem

I have downloaded video from YouTube and played it through VLC. I have then converted it through Handbrake to view on my Ipod Touch. I can play it through Itunes but it won't 'sync' onto my Touch.

I may be doing something stupid but can anyone point me in the right direction???? Please, if possible, keep it simple as i am not the worlds best at this kind of thing.

I can't say about Handbrake, i can only get that to work with Ipod Formatted crap if I bring it from DVD to .h264 video...but if you just want to go from YouTube to iPod wide(Touch or PHone) the link below gives you the option to save it in a formatt that needs no processing, just save the file and import to iTunes and sync...
