I have several concert DVD's that I am ripping, except they are all on 2 DVD's. First half of the concert on 1 DVD, the second half of the concert on the other DVD.

I would like to encode them as 1 file if possible, how do you suggest I do this? I do have VisualHub and I know I saw a "combine files" check box. Is that the solution? Will that mess up the chapters, because I plan on naming all the chapters.

Thanks in advance!

How to Create 1 file output from 2 DVDs:-

1. Use Handbreak or anyother tool to convert two independent files say A and B.

2. Use Quick Time to open file 'A' which is output converted form DVD1

3. Then on QT do Edit/Select All and Edit/Copy

4. Now you can close the file 'A'

5. Open file 'B' this time with QT again

6. now do Edit/Paste and File/Save As

7 give a new file name which will be file 'C' the new full video

I did more than 200 movies like this. Good Luck.

This method would screw up chapters I would imagine.

I use MacTheRipper 3, DVD2OneX (DTOX) and Handbrake. My process goes something like this:

1. Rip entire disk to HDD with MTR.
2. Repeat for Disk 2 or Side B.
3. Combine into one using DTOX.
4. Encode for :apple:TV using Handbrake.
5. Tag with MetaX.

Michael

I followed this process for converting multiple dvds or avi files to one .m4v or .mp4 to use from ATV.
I did not try preserving chapters, Menu etc.
