I don't know if this is the proper forum to post this question in but I figure the actual iPhone users would prolly know best about these kind of statistics. Is there a website or current statistic of the amount of handheld users vs laptop users?

Our company is going to be holding a drawing for iPhones for the employees that have done outstanding work. Of course they are all going to be the 4gig versions but this is just a question I had because last year we had a drawing for two MacBook Pro's.

Really depends what you would consider a hand held.

And what you're comparing. Consumer...business..etc.

I don't completely understand the question, but if it helps, worldwide sales of notebooks were 78.8M in 2006, worldwide sales of smartphones were 64M (which really depends on how you define a smartphone -- the way Gartner defines it, the number is more like 10M and they exclude Nokia almost entirely), and PDAs without cellular capabilities were about 7M more units.

But if what you really want is what your people would value most, the MBPs are obviously worth far more, but the iPhone might be equally exciting.
