Apple seemed to make a big to do about the construction of their Hifi. It just made me think about the Power Mac when I saw it. I can actually imagine Apple redesigning the Power Mac to be a white plastic, featuring handles similar to those in the Hifi. I'd imagine it would be a much better system for reducing noise, with the back still being aluminum for heat dissipation?

Yeah, I agree, only I think they're at the beginning of their next design transition. Most obviously, they're going to be incorporation elements of black. They could very easily have gone with an aluminum front/grey fabric cover for the HiFi. But they went with Black. But I could easily see them incorporating plastic into the design of the next Power Mac. If the intel chips run cooler, maybe they will put a focus on reducing noise (through plastic?).
