How can a user that owns multiple email accounts handle them using one app? Suppose the user owns 2gmail, 2outlook and 2yahoo email accounts, can he use one application to have them all working simultaneously?

For what your asking for... doesn’t exist yet.

You can for example have all those accounts above forwarded to Zoran@iCloud.Com
And use the Apple’s mail app to manage them all

does that sound like a viable option?

Isnt it possible for eg. Outlook, to handle many accounts?

What’s the issue with using the normal mail client and add all those accounts together?! You’re going to use one app that’ll handle all of the accounts. What am I missing here?! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Will Catalina work on my mid 2010 iMac?

No, that’s too old.
