Has anyone else had handoff appear on an iOS device without any reason?

I just had Numbers show up in handoff on my iPad with Bluetooth turned off and no other Apple device turned on. It showed a document name which does not exist when in the app switcher, and the icon on the lock screen.

The weird part is that I have never really gotten handoff to ever work even when trying, so I gave up on it a long time ago.

That would be part of iOS 9's new Proactive feature.

From time to time it will suggest an app based off previous use of that app for that day of the week, time of day and location you're at.

These Proactive suggestions show up just like Handoff do.

Oh, okay. That would explain it.

What about the document name though? It said "kom hem" which means come home in Swedish. I found that a bit weird.

That is a little weird that a Numbers document would be labeled that.

Try checking your iCloud Drive and see what documents you have in the cloud for Numbers.
