Hi all,

Looking for help with a few things.

I've got a Mac Pro 2009. I'm looking for a good mic that will work with phone calls through FaceTime. I've got a Logitech C920 and when I make phone calls it stops accepting the microphone, but when I use FaceTime video the microphones work. Any suggestions on a solution?

Secondly, I've got DP6 and iOS 8 beta 5 running on a iPhone 5s and 802.11ac and BT4.0LE in my system. But no matter what I try, handoff won't work between my iPhone and computer. Anything I'm missing? I've made sure all handoff settings are checked and my FaceTime app all logged into the right iCloud username.

Same issue.

The only mic that I can get to work with continuity calls is the MacBook Pro's internal mic. This is a problem for me because a) I usually use my Mac in clamshell mode with a Thunderbolt display, and b) even when I have the Mac open, my mouth is not close enough to the internal mic for me to be heard very clearly on calls.

I've searched thoroughly for any setting to change or anything on the web pointing to a solution, but I can't find anything. I'm hoping that this is just a bug that will be fixed by the time the final release arrives.

I have a 2009 Mini and a Creative HD cam, since Yosemite the mic on the cam has stopped working for FaceTime and also will not work with calls. It will work for dictation etc.

I was hoping that after the latest update it would work, but I still can't make it work. Did anyone else have any luck?

Still no luck as of GM Candidate 2

I was hoping that GM Candidate 2 would fix it, but no luck.

I can't imagine that this is happening for everyone, because it basically means that the continuity calling feature doesn't work unless your MacBook is open and sitting very close to your face.

And still no luck in 10.10.1 beta

Very frustrating. I can't imagine that this is happening to everyone, or else it would be all over the place. I wonder if it's specific to my machine. I might have to do a clean Yosemite install.

I'm using a macbook pro 2010, and I can't use my external microphone although I can select it in FaceTime. My external microphone is plugged in via an external USB sound card. It work fine with every other app.

Anyone found a way around this nagging issue ? I wan't to use FaceTime with my macbook pro in clamshell mode!
