Handoff not working

iOS 13.1.2 on iPhone XS and just updated to Catalina 10.15 on a mid 2015 MacBook Pro. Handoff is not working between devices. On app switcher on iPhone, no icon for apps open on the Mac. On the Mac, the app icon would appear in the dock but handoff cannot be completed. For example, I opened a website on iPhone and Safari icon appear on the left of the dock. If I click that icon, Safari will open but the website will not open. Safari in fact is stuck there.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Handoff never worked for me in the past until I stumbled on the following post. The instructions are for Mojave, but they may work for Catalina, or at least point you in the right direction.

BTW...Safari was behaving the exact same way for me between mac and iPhone.

Can't Import From iPhone XS From Camera

I'm trying to use Mojave's camera continuity by importing an image directly from my iPhone XS to my iMacs' desktop screen. When I right click, I see the "import from iPhone or iPad" option. If I click iPad, the iPad's camera app opens up, I take a photo, accept the photo and it imports...
