Most (all?) of the videos I’ve seen on YouTube focus exclusively on footage of the 12.9” model, such as The Verge’s. Are there any that you’ve found that show the smaller of the two in more detail?

Thanks in advance!

Will the 10.5 inch keyboard work with the 11 inch iPad Pro?

Thanks for these. The more I see the 11” the happier I am that I bought that size vs. the 12.9. It looks to me to be the perfect blend of portability and screen real estate.

I also got the 11"...I hope I still feel like I made the right choice once I hold them both in person!

Having a 15 inch MacBook Pro already the 11 was the obvious choice.

If I’m going to work outside somewhere and I need real power I’ll bring my pro along.

If my priority is portability I’ll bring my iPad.

What I loved about my 10.5 pro before is it fit into my small over the shoulder bag, which was a lot easier/more convenient to carry than a backpack. I imagine this will be the same.

I can totally see how someone who doesn’t have a full size laptop (perhaps an iMac or Mini user) might want the 12.9 inch iPad for portable productivity though.

Also perhaps someone whose doing video editing and such. I will probably just stick to my MacBook Pro for that though.

That’s exactly the reason why I went for the 11’’ as well. I have a 15” MacBook Pro where I do most of my work and of course I have an iPhone. The iPad fills a void somewhere in between for me and I use it mostly while traveling. The 12.9” only makes sense to me if the iPad was my primary device but it clearly isn’t.

Exact same setup here. I went with the cellular version so I dont need to tether and am completely independent wherever I take the iPad. It'll also easily fit into my briefcase

It’s interesting.. that side by side makes them so similar in length... significantly different in width (referring to portrait mode... obviously other way if talking about landscape).

And another:
Watch this one at 2:15. Shows Face ID working in 3 of the 4 possible orientations, at very fast speed.

The side by side in the first vid confirms to me that the 11" will be enough. The 12.5" is much bigger & a size I wouldn't prefer to be using.

I like the look of the 11 better. I use my iPad’s almost exclusively in landscape and the 11 looks like it was made for that. The 12.9 almost looks a bit squarish to me when compared to the 11. Happy with my choice.

I *love* my OG 12.9" but it turned into a couch device once the 9.7" Pro came out two years ago. I'm going to sell both and consolidate on the 11". The 9.7" has been my "daily driver" just because the size is so much nicer.

Looking forward to getting a bigger screen in the same footprint as the 9.7". I'll miss the big 12.9" screen, but for me, it wasn't easy to lug around on a daily basis.

I’m the opposite, well in the sense that I just can’t get used to the smaller screen now.
I tried, even went as far as buying a 10.5” last year. But I just couldn’t get used to the small screen again. So the 10.5 went to the wife, which at least will stop her pinching my Pro to draw on.
And this year my og 12.9 is getting replaced with the new one.

I am glad it’s smaller and lighter, but only for holding one handed (nerve damage) which was my only downside to my current 12.9. Lugging it around has never seemed like an issue. But then, I’m old, I remember carrying around my 17” Alienware SLI beast years ago, which weighed more than my iMac does.... Madness I tell you :D
