I was excited to find that the handwriting improvement works not only in Notes, but also when annotating images in Preview. It made me think that it works system wide, at least for apple’s own products. Unfortunately it does not work in Freeform, which is strange to me. Also no audio notes and transcription in Freeform either. Hopefully it’s a feature that will come at some point.
