Arrived this morning, and I have been on it since. Installed Bootcamp (Partitioned) and my Win XP Pro. Also stuck in 4g (2x2gig) of ram I bought off newegg. So far I have not had any problems, I love how bootcamp was able to burn that Driver CD for me, installed it as soon as XP was done and bam, I was off.

This is my first Mac, and the keyboard is going to take a bit of getting use to. I wish the ctrl key was in the place of the FN key. Can't find a way to print screen, so used my FRAPS. I have a small cooling fan (well small compared to this 17"). I upgraded from a 12.1" Dell M1210 (Core Duo Full Spec'd) to this and I can only notice improvements. The screen? Don't even get me started.
Have not run any benchmark tools yet, too lazy to download but I can if you wish. I like the firewire 800, works well with my WD MyBook External HD. I currently have my rez at 1900x1200, and I have to set mouse sens. up a bit to actually get anywhere anytime soon. Looks much better then any lower resolutions IMO. I do wish there was more USB ports, but I'm lucky I had a pad with a hub.
Heat? This thing could cook bacon on the left speaker at times. Compared to my dell? I can't say much. It's normal, gaming on a laptop does that. As stated earlier I got about 87c peak when I was playing GRAW2. I only hit that once, but note this is with a 2 fan laptop cooler under.
Gaming is what I seem to do most. Sad thing is, I always do it on my laptops. Now I actually enjoy it. I have not gotten lower then 30 FPS in any games yet, and GRAW2 is something I will be playing a lot. Currently using a wired mouse (Logitech G5 Gaming Mouse). That 1 button track pad sucks in Windows, but I shouldn't complain.
RAM was easy to install, but the screws were so damn small that I ended up losing one due to my own stupidity. I bought 2x2GIGz on newegg for about $220 and they both had heat shields. Both popped in.
No crashes yet, but I haven't been in Mac OSX for more then 10 mins. Windows XP Pro is running just fine. Updated ok, all drivers are found except the iSight. I might try to find a solution to that later.
Speakers are, laptop speakers. Nothing great, but nothing horrible. I wouldn't mind using them, and I currently am until I find out how to hook my 5.1 up to this. The RealTek HD Audio Manager is great, I love the equalizer.
Keyboard feels good, illuminates just fine. Also turns off illumination once a bright screen comes up.
Also, a cool site to visit is http://www.systemrequirementslab.com.
I have to test this more, and I wouldn't mind taking some requests. So far, I have had no problems and I am 99% satisfied with my purchase. (The 1% is that damn price I paid).
This does not bother me atm, but I wish I didn't have that problem. Won't notice it, but your friend sitting next to you will. Instead of bad viewing angle, its a yellow viewing angle. I can live with it.I've noticed that when viewed at an angle, it looks yellowish. Quite yellowish.
