Hello.
I'm about to buy a Seagate 7200.9 hard drive and OWC Mercury Elite Pro firewire enclosure for audio recording. I'm hoping that this new one will be quieter than the Lacie d2 I already have, but mostly I just want to have another drive to record to so that I can have one drive act as the backup. I really don't need very much space. There are two models I'm looking at- a 160GB drive with 8mb cache or a 250GB drive with 16mb cache. The price difference is only $20, but I'm really trying to do this on the cheap. And like I said, I don't really need much space. Would their be benefits to having the larger cache for audio recording and mixing using Logic?
