Hello I have a Emac with osx panther. I know that windows xp has a way to clean up the hard drive like hard disk cleanup and the defragmentation, you know to reorginize everything and cleanup the computer. I was wondering does osx panther have something similar? Also I was wondering if panther has a anti viruis scan or does macintosh sell one or is there a free one that can be downloaded?

Thank you

OS X defrags itself. You can actually slow your computer down if you force it.

Antivirus is unnecessary for OS X. There are a few worms and a couple of trojans (most known security holes have been patched), but no actual viruses.
