My Bay 3 hard drive changes it’s name to /m. I have tried to change it back and i get the following: The operation can’t be completed An unexpected error occurred (error code -8076). Please help...

It's almost impossible to help if you don't give out more details. e.g. what HDD model? Any details about why the name was changed. Or the format / partition of the HDD. And what did you tried? eg. since you emphasis bay 3, did you try bay 1?
 
This is strange. It is now normal. all of my photos are there and cataloged via Adobe Light Room. I had skipped updating my catalog when shutting down. i shut down again, updated the catalog and the problem stopped. Weird????
