Can anyone lend me advice on what to do? I have WD 2TB hard drive that I've been using for a couple of years. I use it on both my personal computer (2015 MBP retina) and my work computer (2016 MBP retina). Lately, it will not mount on my personal, but works fine on the work comp, so it shouldn't be faulty USB cord. I've tried both USB ports with same result. I've also made sure computer is plugged in and providing sufficient power.

The hard drive lights up and sounds like it's functioning as normal. I suspect it has to do with the recent upgrade to Mojave, but both machines are running the same OS.

Any help is much appreciated.

So I assume it's not giving you an error when you unplug the USB cable.
Do other USB drives/devices work on the personal Mac?
No errors or any indication that something is wrong. I've noticed in the past that if a drive isn't ejected properly, it can take much longer to mount than usual when you plug it back in, but I've let it go for about 15 minutes with no luck.

Other USB devices seem to work just fine. I've been using a thumb drive to transfer files in the meantime with no issue.
