I recently bought two brand new 8gb ram sticks to replace my single 8gb stock one, powered off before of course. Unplugged everything removed the cover replaced them, plugged everything back in properly and my hard drive started to make a high pitch “scream” before people ask yes I made sure the source was the hard drive. Does any one have any tips on what I could do to potentially fix this problem without having to buy a new hard drive and os
 
long shot but replace the old ran stick

do a backup now
re seat the HD connetors

Figured out it was just a faulty connection with the mother board! Thanks anyways
