Just a quick question. What do you do when the hard drive on a MP (1,1 in this case) won't come out with normal pulling? Do you try and force it or what? What could cause this?

Hard drive stuck - can't remove the tray

Make sure the rear lever is up and the latches visible in front are fully retracted. I have often found it easier to actually grab the drive itself close to the main board and pull from there. I remove the center drives before getting to the front drive above the fan cage.
Ah - eventually managed to Google a result. Solution for drive 1 (my case) is remove trays 2 and 3, put right hand round the back of the drive and left hand on the front of drive, and pull together. Comes out.
