I live 2 miles from Apple HQ now. I wanted to purchase my wife this afternoon a MacBook, so I looked on line for the nearest store, we drove to a Best Buy only to find out they don't sell apple laptops, then we went to fries which was sold out of all laptops include the G4's. At that point we gave up, we did pass 2 circuit cities.

I did not want to go to the mac store in Valley Fair, it is a real zoo on saturadays and take forever to get served.

I did not now buying a mac could be so difficult and would require a long trip. If I was to buy a lame PC it would be so easy.

Online take to long to ship, and even longer to devliever, we shall go Monday to the Apple Store.

just frustrated:mad: :(

So let me get this right,

You spent all this time going to Best Buy and Frys and yet you didn't go to the actual APPLE STORE because it was going to be too busy? In the time you spent going to Best Buy and Frys you could have just gone to the Apple Store.

Also there are TONS of apple stores all over the bay area. There are some 14! You could have jumped on the 101 N and hit the one in Palo Alto or the one at the Stanford Shopping Center, they are probably less crowded (I usually get quick service at both even on weekends).

Quick list of ones you could have gone to

Burlingame, Burlingame
Palo Alto, Palo Alto
Palo Alto, Stanford Shopping Center
San Francisco, San Francisco
San Francisco, Stonestown
San Jose, Oakridge
Santa Clara, Valley Fair

so seriously??? I think this is a really lame troll

FYI: Oakridge and VF are managed by the same overall manager and I have yet to have a positive experience in either store. The SF store was fantastic but definitely a bit far for me to go to... I'd say opt for the Stanford Mall store, I think I'll head there from now on.
