I've been given an assignment from my school newspaper–a broad one–to take a picture that will accompany an article on Harry Potter.

I have a D70, 18-70 f/4.5-5.6 DX, 70-200 f/2.8 (i.e. 105-300).

That's all of my info–ideas?

Thanks!

When I think of HP, I think about:

-brooms
-a big castle
-wands
-dragons
-three-headed dogs
-funny dressed people
-thunder-like scar
-a trio
-huge open ground area, with a forest at one side
-a huge and crystalline lake
-fight between good and bad
-owls
-magic quills
-a huge man (Hagrid)
-a wise man (Dumbledore)
-quidditch

And much more things. I hope this helps you to have an idea of what things could be useful to take a photo.

Maybe if you specify more what is the article objective I could help you more.:)

Thanks for all the ideas!

But y'all know as much as I do–which is pretty slim. The article probably isn't even in its first draft yet.
