iPad mini has any1 experienced an issue with a bluetooth keyboard w/ 3rd party app not respond?

ran out of characters in the title :p

Im having an issue with my logitech where I will be in some app like goodreader for example and the keyboard will not respond to test input in text fields but I can still use the shortcut keys. A quick reply messenger app I have also does this. If I exit out and open the native app the keyboard will type as normal. If I close and reopen the app will work again.

Has anyone else experienced this?
