I am starting to get the itch to learn Final Cut. My apple store is having a workshop tomorrow from 10-11. I am thinking of going. Has anyone attended one of these? Is it very helpful? I am comfortable with imovie, but I have not used Final Cut at all. Hopefully someone can share their experience.

I went to an imovie one,, it was ok.

imovie is easy to self teach tho. I bet the final cut pro one is good, looks much more complicated..

I actually went to the workshop. I was the only one that showed up. But, it worked out well. I asked to go over Final Cut Express instead. He did a great job and I learned a lot! I am editing some of my kids video right now!

I went to an iMovie one when iMovie first came out. It was pretty good.

I've been thinking of going to the FCP, Motion, DVD Pro up at the Michigan Ave store in Chicago soon. Even though I know a lot about FCP, I'm sure I'd pick up a few things and I haven't used Motion or DVD Pro yet and its always a great thing to see someone use it first.

Besides, its a great excuse to go to Chicago for me :D

D

I went to the iMovie workshop in San Fran before I left. I followed along with my PowerBook. Its was cool. When I return from Afghanistan I am going back to do a Final Cut Pro workshop.

I went to a garageband workshop with special teacher Francis Preve.
I got a signed book!
(FREEEE!!!!)

It made my day a lot better! I learned some stuff (mostly about electronic remixing.. bla) and it was pretty cool.

That night was the night my PB's HD died. :(

It made my day better though. :D Free Book!

i want to go to the final cut express and pro one but its held on tues when i have class.... and only the cambridge store offers it :(

I am soooo glad I went to the class. I made two movies of some videos i had of the kiddos. I am anxious to learn all the really neat features. But, to actually edit one and burn it to a dvd was a miracle for me!:D Baby steps....
