My Mac
I'd be willing to bet that Woodcrest goes into the new XServes. I agree
with iGary with the theory of the Mac Pros
getting Conroe.

Woodcrest is looking pretty awesome! I can not wait to see it in action inside of a Mac Pro. :D

I'm with you, I dont see how we could have anything less than a Woodcrest Quadcore machine. If I remember correctly, nothing upcoming from Intel (by years end) is multiprocessor capable, and the Conroe machines simply are not going to have the horsepower to really knock-the-socks-off the high end G5 offerings right now.

Just wondering on the Mac Pro if you all thought that maybe it would be liquid cool, or is the G5 already liquid cool? Excuse my ignoracne.

I was just thinking that this could be a possibility when I was looking at the Alienware ALX computers.

Growing up on a farm we artifically inseminated the heffers. The semen is kept in a tank that keeps semen cooled at a negative 150 degrees celcius. Anyways so I had a dream about Apple, which sadly happens alot to me. In this dream I had a dream that my new Pro Mac had a woodcrest processor cooled by a nitrogen tank that was much like the the semen tank bank on the farm...

Sorry if that was a dumb ramble but I thought it would be sweet but un practical.

Yes, the top of the line Power Mac G5s (dual 2.5GHz, dual 2.7GHz, and Power Mac Quad) all feature(d) liquid cooling. :)

WHOAAA!!! I guess its true when they say no Idea is a new Idea or what ever the saying is. Perhaps mine is original though .

Hey and to think that computer they were testing was just about the same size the G5. Just kidding.

So on regards to Liquid Nitrogen How does it work? For example in semen tank it just sat like it was a cooler and didn't have any hoses or plug ins or anything. since the processor would be running hot so would the Nitrogen have to be circulated and cooled like a refrigerator? or is it possible to enclose a processor and then have nitrogen enclosed around that enclosure?
