This may have been answered already, but has it been determined if the new MP can hold a second SSD drive internally? I know there were some pictures that led people to believe there might be a spot for it.

Has anyone determined if it can hold a second SSD drive?

I believe you can actually swap the SSD out, though. It means you can at least replace your existing drive with a larger one.
The original images did show one on the second GPU and it would be reasonable to expect that a second SSD might be available when (and if) the nMP gets its first revision.
I am assuming that the number of PCI-e lanes may be the factor that limited the first release to a single SSD.
