Has anyone ever hacked a mac mini from 09 to have adjustable overscan?

I'd love to get that slider from the 2011 Mac Mini in the Overscan settings onto older mac minis.

Has anyone ever looked into this? Shouldn't it just be a setting in some obscure pref file?

Interested to know if this has been done also. I have a 2009 Mini which lacks it and a 2011 Server which has it. It is VERY useful.

This seems to be a PowerPC application so it doesn't work under Lion.

I also tried SwitchResX which seemed very complicated.
