Has anyone gotten Slingplayer to work over 3g with a Slingbox AV?

I know it's not supported but it works fine over wi-fi. I followed the instructions to every hack on the forum to get my iPhone to work over 3g with slingplayer (updated firmware for my sling box, edited the VoiPover3G, Trick3g, and what not) but nothing, still getting the cannot connect message and I'm just starting to think its because I have an AV and not a newer slingbox. Can anyone confirm that it works for an older slingbox like the AV or is everyone using the updated slingboxes? Thanks so much in advance

I had the same problem and fixed it. I was using a different port (21) on my slingbox because I initially had problems using the default port when I first set it up. I tried reconfiguring the slingbox to the default port (5001) and now it works. Not sure why - does AT&T block ftp?

I have an original iPhone and a Slingbox AV and I have been able to get it to work over EDGE. I used VoiPover3G and it worked right away - no problems at all.

Oh ok I got it to work. What I had done was installed backwards compatibility, then installed voipover3g with the edited .plist and when that didn't work, uninstalled voipover3g and installed tricker 3g. Well that still didn't work and the problem was that I had left backwards compatibility on there so I uninstalled tricker, and backwards compatibility, then re-installed tricker by itself and got it to work. ty guys for the replies
