I'm having issues with Caldigit TS4 Ethernet port not working with my M1 Max. Does anyone have this issue? If so, is there a patch or update to get this work? Here's what I've tried.

  1. By-passing the TS4 and connect the Ethernet cable directly to the D-Link USB-C to Ethernet adapter and this works.
  2. Using the TS4 with a MacBook Pro M1 and the Ethernet connection works.
  3. Using TS3 with my MacBook Pro M1 Max and it works.
  4. It's only when Using MacBook Pro M1 Max with the TS4 is when the Ethernet is not working.

they had issues with ethernet and released a firmware update for it, that also led to them to stop shipping for a while.
i have m1 pro macbook pro and never had issue until earlier this week and a reboot of my dock fixed that.

now the problem with firmware update is you need a windows machine to check yours or to update but if you bought it after july-ish it should have new one.

try reaching out to their support team they respond very quick.

Okay, I've tried updating the firmware to the latest and I still have issues with TS4 dock. I'm using the D-Link USB-C to Ethernet and it works fine so far no issue for about a week now.

Sorry you’re having trouble. I had trouble (periodically disconnecting) with the ethernet on the OWC TB4 dock. Switched to the TS4 and it’s been rock solid.
