just curious to know how long it took! i know they all dont ship from the same place nationwide. :)  :D

From the date of order to the day it arrived? It took about 1 week for me, but I had 2-3 day shipping. I did get my ipod and printer earlier though, just about next day because Apple has a warehouse somewhere in PA

Don't order off apple.com in PA

I live in northeastern NJ, just a few hours from parts of PA. They are shipping the MacBooks (the white one's, anyway). From china, and it will take over two weeks to be delivered, even with express delivery. However, if you order, call to complain and try to cancel, they will give you at least $65 off, and you might be able to get a hundred off if you ask for it to be used off your next purchase from apple.com

My office mate order one a few weeks ago. It took about 5 days to Philadelphia. When you order from the online store you can track your order via Fedex. If you want a build to order machine the online store is the only way to go. If you plan to travel to a brick and mortar store in eastern PA go to the Ardmore Store. Its much larger than the King of Prussia store and has more displays on the sales floor. They are only about 8 miles apart so its not much more of a drive.

.... TAIWAN by ASUSTEK, I believe not the mainland CHINA.

Asus also has plants in China, at least I have gotten Asus branded products that are made in China. Gosh, it really confuses me, which China does "PRC" refer to?

Ordered a Black MacBook with BTO hdd and RAM from the web store on May 29th. Received it on June 6th, although the estimated ship date was June 12th.
I live in Edgewood, MD, which is about 90 miles south of Philly. Not PA, but kinda close.

ASUSTEK is Taiwanese...

...but it maybe that they manufacture low tech products in the Mainland (PRC, Peoples Republic of China). I don't think that APPLES are made in the PRC... Components may be.
Anyone, correct me if I am off:p
