I opened the App Store on my iPhone and tapped check for updates Wow 7 available updates. So I decided to open iTunes on my mac to update on the computer (it seems easier that way ) and I notice that there are 9 application updates in iTunes hummm and half of the applications that are needing updating in iTunes are showing needing updates on my iPhone and applications on my iPhone that are needing updated are not showing so in iTunes. Has anyone noticed this?

Yeah. They haven't got the whole "you've got an update" thing right just yet.

I had that last night with Solitaire Forever. 1.01 was released. the AppStore on my Touch recognized that I needed to update, but iTunes didn't.

Aurora Feint isn't showing up as an update either.

Your lucky, my phone doesn't even tell me when there is an update, in fact, I just had to update zintin and Pandora by simply installing them again on my phone.

I have a theory though I'm not sure if this is correct because I haven't been keeping track of which apps I bought where, but I'm thinking that apps bought/downloaded directly from the app store to your iPhone will always show the update on your iPhone (regardless of if you have transfered it to your iTunes on your computer) and same with apps that you bought/downloaded through iTunes on your computer; will only show updates in your iTunes.

Could this be what is happening? About half my apps I got directly over the air onto my iPhone and these seem to be the ones showing the update in the phone itself.
