I dug out my Olde Magick Track Pad & dusted it off. I probably used it last in 2011 or so. Condition looks great, and I stored it without any batteries so there‘s no acid leaked or anything. Except for a couple tiny bumps on the corners, it looks almost new.

So I had to search for instructions on how to pair it:
  1. Turn on your device.
  2. Wait until your device's LED starts blinking, which means that it's in Discoverable Mode.
It turns on, and the green light blinks (2 blinks, pause, 2 blinks, pause, etc). But it does not appear in ‘Other Devices’ on the Bluetooth page for pairing - either on the iPad or on my 6s. I dunno about my Surface as I have BT disabled on it (since I have my keyboard & headphones paired to the iPad).

Thoughts? Is this a lost cause due to age of the trackpad? Is it some sort of ancient version of Bluetooth?

Windows can see and connect to it, it's correctly identified as an Apple Trackpad. So it definitely works, just have to see how to connect it to the iPad Pro...
