Im on DP6. In DP6 all of the continuity features that i've grown to love under DP5 were all broken. So I'm wanting to know if anyone has tested these features on PB2.

If they work i plan on switching to the PB.

Thanks,

Can someone on PB2 test the hotspot feature. Can you see if your iPhone with the iOS b5 shows in the wifi section under personal hotspots. And can you tell me if you can actually connect.

Thanks,

Thanks,

I'm on DP6 (should be the same as BP2) and iOS 8 b5. My iPhone is under the WiFi section under personal hotspot, but I can't connect :( I'm getting some sort of timeout (can't remember exactly, tried it yesterday and I'm on Mavericks now).

SMS Relay works for me, however app handoff does not. I believe that it was iOS beta 5 that broke this, as it stopped working for me under PB 1 and beta 5, but was working for me under PB 1 and beta 4.

Thanks for your input. Im getting the same results. Had one guys saying he had 100% of continuity features working under DP6 but after realizing that he was the only guy on the internet to claim so, i determined that was a lie (Maury).

I don't think iOS b5 broke it. The majority here in these forums had it working under DP5 and iOS b5 with 100% of the continuity features working. It wasn't until i updated to DP6 that it became broken.

Well I am only running Public beta 2 and the iOS 8 beta 5 and I cannot get app handoff to work... It's weird... Maybe A fresh install is in order.

I don't think a fresh install will work. Everything i've read suggests that handoff is broken with DP6 and PB2.

But i just found a thread in the iOS 8 forum where theres a few users claiming everything is working perfectly with DP6 and iOS 8 b5. Honestly i think their full of it. And will continue to believe so until someone posts proof.

I've done fresh installs on my iPhone 5s and iPhone 5 (iOS 8 b5) and late 2013 rMBP (DP6 and PB2) and they all had similar results. Handoff is indeed broken.

Pretty sure DP and iOS 8 beta versions need to match. Given there is no iOS 8 beta 6, I would imagine when it's in GM, it will function properly again.

Well handoff is not as crucial to me. So I can live another week and a half until the GM hits.
