Has anyone used “the watch strap company” ?

Hi

has anyone used “the watch strap company”. It’s in U.K., just wondering what thought of straps. I have no affiliation, just was looking for straps, particularly a leather loop and found these (I’m in U.K.)


They are in general 1/2 price of Apple and all look very similar. The loop colour looks the same, they say genuine leather, although it’s one size so not sure it will be too long whereas Apple leather loop, had 2 size bands.

I want a more smart band for more formal occasions, and thought the leather loop is a good option?

Looking at the leather loop they have, they look like the £10 knock offs on ebay. I bought 2 of the knock offs and they gave me and my mate rashes on our wrists. The genuine ones don’t cause an issue. The ones in the photo on their site have smaller segments than the Apple leather loop, or at least the ones I got did.

They do have some nice straps on their site though although I have just ordered a leather link from Apple and an ebay copy which I am looking forward to trying.

They do look like the eBay/Amazon ones and that’s why I asked really, don’t they all look like knock-off’s though?

That’s bad, I had a Amazon one that did similar, think it was a sport/Nike band.

I emailed them and got standard response of, yes colours similar, we use genuine leather on all of our WsC Leather straps.

I’m undecided, it’s half the price but as you say is it genuine leather? Imagine Apple one would be as they say.

I haven’t seen or used a leather loop, I’m after a more formal band, and like the idea of these. This company band has one size though so imagine it would wrap around a lot.

Another on Amazon I see doesn’t have the buckle, not sure on that as then trusting the magnets totally without the safety of the buckle to stop it totally falling off.

So why are you getting an eBay one? Just to trial and compare with Apple one? (Do you have link if UK eBay please?)

Be interested to hear your results when get both please, is this another leather loop from Apple you’re ordering then?

It's so weird and not related to this post but my wrist looks exactly like your mate's wearing a genuine apple white sport band (purchased from legit retailer). It's become worse now that I wear it to track my sleep, no idea what to do about it but doesn't seem to have the same problem with sport loop.

I bought their version of Sport Loop about a year ago. Although comfortable and allergy free experience, I did notice that the lugs weren't flush with the frame of the watch, occasionally a millimetre off on either side when tugging the strap. Not so much of an issue, but noticeable. I've stopped wearing it some time ago, as I got concerned that it might fail at some point, and wear only OEM apple watch bands now. I do know they're expensive and that some copies are almost on par with the original for a much lower price, however most of the time that saying is oh so true: You Buy Cheap, You Buy Twice!

Stay away from them, as the quality is not good, I feels cheap, and the customer service is just awful! They treat you rudely over the phone, do not ever reply to emails, and do not even remotely accept that there CAN be a faulty strap!

I bought a Falcon, which was supposed to fit 140-200 wrist (including watch) and it measures to 160 on its tightest state, EXCLUDING the watch! So you can imagine how huge it is! I sent them images, but they said they cannot decide based on emails or images! And that I pay for the return and send it back for them to then decide IF it is faulty!

I tried writing a review on their website, and it never came up! They do NOT

publish negative reviews! Try giving one of the reviews on the website a "thumbs down" and you will see it won't work at all! There only are 4/5 star reviews on their website.. But way too late for me to pay attention to that!

All I can say: avoid them like a plague!
