Title says it all. I would love to hear if you have a fix. I've tried just about every suggestions out there but since it doesn't look like we are getting PB4 I need a fix.

Just have to hang tight and wait. Annoyingly the previous beta for me was superb in terms of battery life.

Thanks man. That's why this is frustrating for me. The last beta was amazing battery wise
I'm right there with you but if you want to play beta you have to be prepared to take the bad cards with the good ones. Many people incorrectly believe that if the current beta is stable then the next will be even better. This is not always the case though.

I'm right there with you. My 5s is almost 2 years old and this current beta is just ridiculous. I go like 3-4 hours tops with limited use. I'm upgrading the minute I'm able. PB 1&2 were pretty good on battery and then BAM, like a freight train running over this thing. I can't believe they would release a public beta this bad on battery. I understand it is a beta but good lord man. It sounds like the 5s users are getting hit the hardest so maybe it's just time to upgrade which I will.

If you understand what a beta is then you would know that Apple releases betas to find out what the problems and bugs are so they can be fixed. If they knew all the problems and bugs ahead of time then they would NOT need to release a beta.

Agreeing to be a beta tester is agreeing to be a tester and beta = beta.

Oh yeah how did I forget that one....you can scramble eggs on mine....I'm using a thick case just to shield the heat from my hand. Like I said for the 5s this beta is a disaster. But, it's so close to GM I'm not going to downgrade now. Just have to get through it.

I'm glad it's not just me who thought this. The last beta blew my mind with its battery life! Mine lasted pretty much all day even with heavy use.

Here's my results on PB3 so far
5 hours mostly of messaging via EDGE (2G internet), rarely with 3G internet, and maybe last hour on Wi-Fi. It's known that 2G and 3G drains battery a lot, so I consider my result is not that bad... But I'm sure it should be better(

I've had slightly better battery life by enabling Low Power Mode then restarting the phone. It's not as good as the battery life was compared to PB1 or PB2 but it's better than it is without it.

I don't give 2 cents on the battery life, I just want my 5s to be as smooth as 8.4 and no heat issues but I will just wait for the gm.

I did a clean install of iOS 8.4.1 then updated with the iPSW
I actually did a erase all not just settings then reinstalled from a backup today and it has helped with the heat a lot. Battery life has improved a little but nothing like the last beta.At least the phone isn't getting so hot now.

It sounds like an issue unique to the 5s, as my 5 is doing better on battery than it was with 8.4...

Hopefully I'm not repeating anything stupidly obvious. But I do have high hopes for the final release.
