have experienced 1st hand and have also been reading of the constant problems with: Apples support under MAC OS for 3rd party monitors since the M1 was released - half baked drivers causing alot of sorrow and horror to the unsuspecting buyer who chose not to buy an Apple branded display>

I personally am using a Dell 2722QC Monitor with USB-C Power Delivery with a M1 Pro 14" MacBook Pro -

when I'd restart the MBP: I'd need to manually reset display res back to 60hz EVERYtime and occasionally mostly on blue backgrounds the whole display would go all jittery and even showed signs of temporary pixel burn in - this severe annoyance very nearly caused me to stop using macs>

Since updating to Ventura it has all gone away and the display works perfectly>

could it be Apple has finally updated 3rd party monitor support to actually be workable in OS Ventura ??????

OMG

Hallelujah

very interested in ANY OTHER POSITIVE EXPERIENCES with Monitor support with Ventura out there>

All good here with a 2010 Dell U3011 running at 2560 x 1600 60Hz, which is the default for that model. Ventura GA screen support has been noticeably more solid (for me) than with Catalina, Big Sur & Monterey.

I'd occasionally have to jump through hoops to get it working acceptably on those prior versions. I haven't had to tinker with it at all since updating to Ventura a few days ago. Obviously I hope this continues, and will be interested to hear what other users are experiencing, good or bad.
