The X is good, but I'm still finding many Apps (Browser's one I notice alot) restart when opening again.

Going by this video, it appears they may've tweaked 4GB to handle background Apps well?

The Max started off with some Apps taking their time to open, but then breezed through the rest of the testing.

How are people finding re-opening Apps? Many Apps restarting??

Is that hardware vs software? I noticed that it got significantly worse on my 8+ for a couple of my primary apps as soon as iOS 12 was released.

I'm thinking hardware & software.

Your 8+ & my X have 3GB of RAM. One less than these new phones. So that, as well as IOS12 make for improved RAM management it appears.

edit...
Spoke to soon...Apps still refreshing...

Remember how some say the dual camera system the iPhone 7+ introduced led to 3gb RAM instead of 2gb? What encouraged Apple to go 4gb RAM with the XS/XS Max this year? AR?
