  • I get a notification about "Take out the trash and 3 other items" then I click on this notification and it just brings me to my reminders... and I have no idea which the "3 other items" were. Why can't it just expand the notification into 4 notifications or something. Why the need to save space on a huge screen?
  • When someone sends me an iMessage, you can no longer easily reply inside the notification, you have to click "Options" and then reply there or mark as read. It's two extra steps, the reply field used to be right there.
  • Randomly iOS will ask me if I want to disable this or that notification, which is more annoying than the notifications themselves.
  • And a bunch of other annoyances like this, making everything more complicated with more steps, more hidden things and less transparency.
I was perfect and simple! I would not have changed a single thing. And they had to mess it up.

macOS (this forum category) or iOS (mentioned in your post)?
macOS mostly but this also applies to iOS, they kind of work the same way and follow the same new "notification philosophy". I'm not entirely sure how notifications used to work but I used to just know what's going on without wondering if I missed something. They've made it unpredictable and unreliable.
