Has GameSpy finally dropped Mac support on Halo CE?

Up until about 4 weeks ago Halo CE Game Lobby would return about 600 servers and around 1200 players. Now I'm lucky if I can find 50 servers with more than 20 players.

Can I only play Mac-to-Mac now and forevermore?

You have the most recent update, right? I saw around a hundred servers when I logged in a couple minutes ago.
 
Version 1.5.2

Played today (well tried to) - got 50 servers and 9 players :(
 
If you want the Universal Binary version, email me @ tman444z@gmail.com and ill tell u how to get it. But as earlier posters said, barely anybody plays 1.5.2 any more-they all switched to the Universal Binary version. Btw wat kind of comp do u have?

OK so I found an updater to 2.0.3 from macgamefiles.com - can I update straight from 1.5.2?

G5 Dual / 1.5GB RAM
 
Sorry - I'm catching up slowly here... I now understand that Mac Halo UB is a completely separate full version of the game and the upgrades we are talking about are for this.

How recent is Halo UB and is it a free upgrade?

I take it that the PC version had an patch recently - which is why I can't now see any PC servers in Halo's game lobby, but how come I could see all those servers when I was still on version 1.5.2?

The main question is: will I still be able to see all the servers with Mac Halo UB? or am I more confused than ever? :)

1. Halo UB is like $5 for a download from macgamefiles. It is NOT an upgrade, but rather a very discounted version of Halo UB. You just hafta enter ur CD Key and they will give it to u for $5.
2. Yes with the most recent patch for UB (2.0.3) u will be able to see the PC servers and play on them.

SUCCESS!!!

All working - can see upward of 600 servers and 1200 players!!!

The performance with higher level graphics than 1.5.2 is awesome - it works really well.

Few Servers on 2.0.3

I have the Universal Binary version 2.0.3 and there are hardly any active servers in the Internet Lobby. At most there are maybe 10-20 players at a given time. This started happening about two weeks ago.

I've actually been using GAME-MONITOR.com to find servers and entering the IP addresses manually! I can connect and play just fine.

Anybody else experiencing the same issue?
 
As long as your CD key is legitimate you shouldn't be having any issues. Have you tried reinstalling the game or connecting through a different network?
 
For some reason there seems to be a number of replies missing from this thread that were here yesterday, including a some of mine.

Can a moderator shed some light please?

bobbles was using a pirated copy of Halo, so I imagine that's why the mods deleted his posts in here.
 
Legit Copy

My copy of Halo is legit.

My network hasn't changed. I'm still connecting from the same WAN IP as I always have.

Nobody else has had this happen to them with UB 2.0.3?
