Has iOS 14 messed up anyone else’s phone? Error 14!

Does anyone know if Apple is aware / fixing error 14? My phone was perfectly fine before it forced itself into an update automatically. I didn’t have iCloud back up the last 5 months of pics including my newborn son

Your phone was far from fine if you ran out of storage.. Only a matter of time before this happened and most likely your data as well as the pictures are gone. It is well documented that iOS does not like to run out of storage and if you don't have at least 20% free you either need to off load data or buy a device with a larger storage capacity.. Backing up your device regularly in this day and age is really necessary, then when problems arise you lose nothing. iCloud space is cheap and there are a multitude of 3rd party resources that make it easy so you don't ever have to go through with this sort of thing. iOS14 had nothing to do with it, not having enough space for the update is what caused the error. You also have the ability to disable automatic updates in settings..
