This is my first time posting outside of the Mac threads. I feel oddly out-of-place here...!
Anyway, my problem: I've been without internet access for several months (long story), came home last night and went online, and was offered an update for my third-generation iPod Touch when I connected it to my MBP. I agreed.
My iPod's album-navigation has completely died. When I hold it in the landscape position, I used to be able to leaf smoothly through my albums; but now, the animation jams and stutters, the album art looks slightly pixelated, and if I push my luck with it, the screen goes black and it crashes back to the 'root' screen.
Has iOS 5 increased memory demands? My album art is very high-def (as in, 1500x1500-plus), because the companion computer used to be a 27" iMac, so it would've looked crap at 400x400. Is this my problem? Have memory demands gone up, and now my beautiful album art is giving my iPod a breakdown?!
I would add that the iPod still works, in that it plays music and audiobooks. But this still pisses me off. Any advice would be welcome.
